After much hard work and concerted effort across the business, we are proud to announce that we have achieved recertification with Planet Mark for a third consecutive year.
It was expectedly challenging, especially considering business growth and the reductions posted last year, but we worked incredibly hard to achieve:
- 6% reduction in total carbon emissions (per £m turnover)
- 88% reduction in emission relating to waste (avoiding landfill in all instances)
- 62% reduction in emissions from diesel and petrol vehicles
- 83% reduction in water usage
We are aiming to achieve a further 5% total carbon emissions reduction over the coming year, in addition to strategising our offsetting activity to reflect the values of our people at Showcase and addressing the biodiversity crisis by building standards into our sustainability strategy.
