Rackspace

In September 2015, Showcase won a contract with Rackspace to provide the entire furniture solution for their new premises at Rackspace City in Hayes, Middlesex.

Rackspace is a managed cloud computing company, they have been supplying hosting services to business of all sizes and kinds around the world since 1998 and have operations on four continents.

With the continuing expansion plans for their global business and recruitment levels escalating in the UK, Rackspace had to accommodate up to 1250 people over 3 years. Rather than relocate they decided to build another office on their existing site “Rackspace City”.

They are a very forward thinking company with a young workforce – communication and team building is an important part of their culture and was evident in their brief for the interior design and the resulting scheme designed by Shepherd Robson.

We were involved from an early stage and worked closely with both the teams from Rackspace and Sheppard Robson. We were able to put forward some extraordinary furniture items, aligning the vision for the space which has now resulted in a very eye-catching environment for their staff to work from.

The finished installation offers Rackspace employees a flexible working environment with a variety of different work settings in the form of breakout spaces, small and large meeting rooms and collaboration areas.
