Showcase was appointed to work on this project alongside four design teams IA, Citterio-Viel, Perkins & Will & Gensler as the FF&E Consultant for PTC, providing furniture selection, procurement & supply across 8 floors and over 1.2m Sq Ft.
Scope
Showcase was taken on board to create new furniture standards representing a lighter more European aesthetic and delivering a workspace that supports an increasing move towards agile based working.
One of the critical elements was integrating with the separate interior design teams and ensuring that we supported them to achieve their design aspirations.
This scope included considering connectivity in the open plan and meeting rooms and producing a set of connectivity standards.
We delivered the procurement strategy for the London office and we also delivered a global strategy procurement piece for task seating.

Furniture selection, procurement and supply, and furniture installation. Furniture audit of the existing furniture and condition review to assist clearance.
Success points
The net result for the client was an improved workstation with full electrically operated sit / stand and a new set of standards for meeting tables.
Personal lockers have been provided for all staff with RFID locks, allowing users to access their locker with their staff access card. This system also allows for management reporting on locker use.
The trading desk standard was unified to a common desk platform, this yielded tremendous budget savings.
Dynamic and responsible budget management means amazing spaces, great quality and significant savings to budget.
Showcase were asked to deliver a global strategy for task chairs, running task chair trials in five global locations each with eight task chairs, over 900 pieces of data was collected and processed into a dashboard, one supplier was awarded the contract for 35,000 chairs with a saving of over £3,000,000.
The clients standards now form part of an EMEA standard, with set costs for supply across the regions, Showcase has been retained to deliver projects in Stockholm, Milan and Frankfurt.
