We won a procurement contract with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) to supply the entire furniture solutions for their new city offices.
CBA were relocating their trading floor and back office facility to a new home, the first and second floors, totalling 44,000sq. Ft, at 1 New Ludgate, a landmark building in the heart of the city of London.
The brief for the desired look and feel of their new offices was “a place that combines history, global, diversity, professionalism, wellness and flexibility“.
CBA’s aim was to improve staff well-being, and the connection and interaction between departments, both socially and from a business sense. The space needed to promote the CBA identity.
Working with designers ID:SR and cost consultants MACE, Showcase managed the furniture selection, procurement & supply, and furniture installation.
A successful project where we achieved client areas that were flexible, comfortable and with seamless technology.
The team areas had technology to support different activities and provide the spaces to allow alternative ways of working. As required CBA had common areas that would provide the impetus for their staff to move away from the eating at desk culture, and promote social and healthy activities.
The office includes an Innovation Hub on the second floor, the design of which follows the global standard for CBA’s Innovation Hubs. All products on this project conformed to SKA Ratings
